I was not aware of a B6 or a turbo RWD 1.6. Is it a GTX 323 engine bolted to a miata trans? I assume if they were cheap and fit Miatas there would be lots of them around.

that's a new one to me... 323's were either FWD or AWD if I recall... not RWD?
Looks like a std miata motor with a turbokit of some sort... It doesn't have any sort of heatshielding like a usual factory install has...
not to mention that the manifold, and most certainly the BLUE vacum line from the turbo don't look "factory"
that looks alot like the greddy kit to me, a variant maybe form japan with a t25 turbo. a few of those manifolds and turbos have been poping up lately,
that is not a 323gtx motor, although the b6t in teh 323gtx and bp6 in the miata are very very similair, there are differences.

So maybe the importer stumbled across an aftermarket modified engine? Who knows. The price looks right and includes shipping, but he has 0 feedback.
That is a greddy turbo on a miata engine and transmission. Well worth the $800/shipped. I called the website is www.japanstarmotors.com .
