Thread: Can anyone help me install the motor on Friday night?

Default Can anyone help me install the motor on Friday night?

My turbo and exhaust is out getting ceramic coated, but I am ready to install the motor and need some help. Can anyone help on Friday night for 2-3 hours? I just need help aligning the tranny and the motor...

Does anyone know if you need to put sealant on the bolts that hold the front cover on the transmission or do you just bolt it up with the paper seal in place?

I may be able to come out and help... I just sent a note to the "boss" to make sure we don't have plans friday night that I don't know about.

I get home around 6, so it will probably be 6:30 or 7 before I get there.

Gate Code? I know it was open when I came by on the weekend, but it was closed when I dropped off Chris at midnight the night of the thing that we don't talk about anymore. When does the gate close? If it is before 7, send me the code too!!!

I too have found time in my busy schedule to sneak away from the family and help! Somebody shoot me information on the undisclosed location.

Anything I need to bring other than my stunning good looks and sharp personality?

Many Thanks to POS, Threebean, TC and Titus for helping last night! We got the motor back in the engine bay, mated to the transmission with the motor mounts in the right spots. My Turbo, exhaust manifold and downpipe are at the Ceramic coater expected back next week.

We had one small setback involving bad management and a torque wrench (henceforth know as "40/41 whatever it takes," or "yeah, hit those one more time" but TC's creative thinking and Home Depot saved the day!

    THANK YOU GUYS!
