Thread: Building TCB CSP car!

  1. #1

    Default Building TCB CSP car!

POS switching to CS was the straw that broke the camels back. I was looking for a reason to switch to CSP, so being the only Miata left in ES I was getting lonely.

So here are the plans and cost:

94 Miata - wifes old car

13" Panasport C-8s - $400 (Ebay) but seller may have flaked out on me (don't worry I haven't sent any money yet)

    13" Yokohama A048 soft compound - $30 for all 4 (Ebay)

Custom magnaflow exhaust - compliments of Eurotek Motorsports

    KYB AGX's - $300 (Ebay)

    R1 coilovers - $40 (Ebay)

Racing Beat hollow front sway bar - $100 (Ebay)

Fake Bride steering wheel and adapter - $60 (Ebay)

    Test Pipe - $30 (Ebay)

    X-tune Header - $75 (Ebay)

Possibly some weight loss, but I'm probably going to have Eurotek make a roll bar for track days

Hopefully this setup will be competitive against the Marks. The Yokohamas are a temporary tire choice that I wanted to try b/c they were so cheap. If they aren't the right choice for the job I'll probably use the Hoosiers on my ES wheels.

I'll try to keep everybody up to date on the build up. I hope Sammm is proud!

Nice and cheap, but he was saying that Ebay might not allow him to sell them anymore.

There's a sucker like me born everyday!

BTW, if anyone is looking to get rid of a intake or just a K&N cone or cylindrical filter, let me know.

Sounds like my car, except FM springs, and no sway bar yet. Also I am using 14" wheels. Do you have a LSD?

That sounds like an excellent start. Good luck against the Marks!

Mike (owner of Eurotek) has decided to go to law school, so his fabrication business may be put on hold for a while. He said he might still do a couple of things so I'll check with him.

We had discussed pricing slightly lower than $300 for what I've got, add more for an extra resonator, stainless piping, etc. Let me know if you are seriously interested and I'll let Mike know.

Glad to hear the TCB founder/president is happy!

I've been working on securing a trophy with the BMWCCA. They've got some pretty slick year end trophies from what I hear. I should at least be at the S2K event next month.

HHHMMM what ore the odds of a tech day for Majik this winter.

The older and wiser Mark52 has been asking questions about machine shops and laughing maniacally lately for no apparent reason, you may want to watch him!

It's all well and good until the wiser and older Mark52 starts muttering about his new trailer...
