    Default Installing New Top

Hey everyone, i am looking at my options on getting my new soft top installed, and was curious if there would be anyone that would be interested in helping install it once i get it in. If so, you would of course be awarded with some home cooked BBQ. Please let me know if it would be possible, or just take it to a shop! Trying to save some of the insurance money for my pockets!

Do you already have the top? Have you looked at the other threads about putting a glass window top on your car and getting one from the wrecking yard?

no i have not looked at the other threads yet. I just wanted to find out if it would be a job possible to do in the garage, versus taking to a shop.

I bought a Robbins cloth top with glass window last November. I got mine from GoMiata for around 600 or so with a rain rail. I had American Trim and Glass in Denton install it for me for 300 dollars flat. I called the Mazda dealer for a price quote for a comparison and they said that they outsource their tops to them. After a few calls to other shops this was the best price. I talked to him for a while and found that he has installed tons of tops on miatas and that he needed to have the car all day for the install. I think it was worth the $$$ to get it installed properly. IMHO. For what it's worth, this top is bad ass. Looks awsome.

The thing is you can get a NB top for less than that that will bolt right in. Different Strokes as they say.
