    Default Lower radiator hose woes

I took my usual, semi-brisk pace home this afternoon, pulled into the ol' assigned parking spot, got out of the car and...what's that smell? Coolant??

Yes, the lower hose, which is a whopping three weeks old, has a hole in it. Seems the A/C lines were rubbing it the wrong way.
Anyone else had this proximity issue by chance?

Luckily, the nice folks at Town North have one of these puppies hanging around for just under $10 (less than the cost of my last spare key). Kind of a long walk, though, since I can't find my gaffer's tape at the moment...

    Edit:
After replacing the hose, there's still a leak. How lovely! :)
Looks like the hard line between the two lower hoses has lost just enough of the lower lip to allow fluid to pass by.

What is it with you and coolant issues?

Finally got all of the hose leaks stopped yesterday. And then, last night, the thermostat housing gasket blew.

I am having zero luck with this.
Should be entertaining trying to find a replacement on a Sunday.

I never heard of blowing a thermostat housing gasket. If it doesn't leak when you put it in then it should be good.

You should try running your car with the radiator cap off and see if you are getting air bubbles coming out. If you are then you have most likely blown a head gasket.

No bubbles at this point. Please don't jinx the head gasket, mkay? Besides, I think the water pump gasket is next in line to go south.

Had some luck with the thermo gasket, as Farphle had a spare and lives maybe 1/16 of a mile away.
