Default Hardtop $350 + $100 Shipping in Tenn

I was looking for a deal on a hardtop and found one in Tennessee.

In the end I decided it was better to payoff a credit card so I thought I'd post up the info in case one of you is looking for a top.

Here are some excerpts from the emails we exchanged and their contact info,

    Advance Auto Salvage
    1456 Mt. Herman Road
    Murfreesboro, TN 37127
    Phone (615) 896-7700

    Fax (615 ) 895-5050
    Monday-Saturday 8:00AM-5:00PM CT

hi i am getting a picture, it would be 450 shipping included.
give me a call if you have any question. ask for elizabeth

    Is the email.

I was sent a picture, it was from her camera phone to my wife's camera phone. I haven't figured out how to get it off to post it though. It looked like a clean top from what I could tell. The back glass was intact. Supposedly it was from a 97 that looked either black or dark blue.

Anyway, I'm not affiliated with this group and can't vouch for anything about the hardtop. I was going to buy it, but unfortunately responsibility won out.

If your interested I'd contact Elizabeth at the above email or call to get pics or info etc. Anyway, hope this helps someone out.

    -edit-

I found the top through a carparts.com salvage yard search, not through a forum, craigslist or webposting.

That's a helluva deal if it's for real. Keep us posted.

I was under the impression that shipping for a top was much more than that. If it is properly crated to prevent damage, the packaging should weigh more than the top itself.

I can't vouch for the reliabilty of the seller. It seemed like a legit deal though. I'm not planning on picking it up myself so I thought I'd share the find. If anyone picks it up I'd like to know how it ends.

Idk, I might talk myself back into it over the weekend. If that's the case I'll let you know how it turns out.

The shipping did seem a little on the low side, but my guess is that the owners don't usually deal in miata hardtops, so they don't know the value or the shipping. Seems like a good deal though, one of the best I've heard of for a hard top.

I'm heading by there in like 3 weeks. If it's still there I may stop and pick it up. We have been in the market for a hardtop me and my mom both have Miatas we could split the cost on the top.

Does anyone have dimensions on this top??
