Default Drilling hole in windshield to stop buffeting?

I thought this looked interesting. I wonder if you could just use a modified Cool Breeze scoop?

The video is pretty goofy. I thought Jackson Brown's Somebody's Baby would be more appropriate music and it thought it would end in a ballpark dugout. (You must have seen Fast Times at Ridgemont High.)

Goofy video, for sure... but they may be on to something. I guess the idea is the blast of air fights the wraparound buffeting. What if you had a flapper valve that directed a ram-air source through the dash vents? Maybe a cowl scoop could be fabbed up so you wouldn't have to ruin the windshield. Seems like my buddy's MG has just such a vent setup... hmmmm...

How can you make such a big hole on the windshield? That "thing" takes up half of the windshield of the Miata!

And since there is a hole there...how would that work out when bugs don't splat on the windshield but instead do so inside your car?

Not to mention that thing is ghastly sitting on the dash like that.
