    Default MS Mx-5 officially in BS, STS2 bumped to 1900cc

    Just pointing out a couple tidbits from the FASTRACK for those of you quibbling about the 1.8 cars being slightly above 1800 and such..

    aren't the later models already specifically excluded?

    Honestly, I'm suprised that you can find anything on the "new and improved" SCCA site. It truly is one of the most disorganized, overly busy, and thoughtlessly subdivided websites I've visited in a while. And they still don't have links up to previous Tour & Pro-Solo results.

    As for STS2, that clarification doesn't change the balance of the class at all, since '94-'97 models were allowed from the get-go by being specifically mentioned in the inclusion list, and the '99+ models were excluded from the get-go by being on the exclusion list. None of that has changed - this is merely a changing of the displacement limits to remove the need to put the '94-'97 Miatas on an inclusion list, since they displace over 1800cc.

    I still think it's ridiculous that you can't run any car with a worthwhile diff in what is supposed to be a "budget sportscar" class, but that's just me.

    I printed 24 pages of this stuff and I still can't make heads or tails of it.

    Ha ha.. Just pay attention to the Solo section... I think that's like pg 4.. the rest? Just ignore that.

    If you want to know more? Read in depth.. They also nixed the motion to move the FD's to AS.

    Yep, I agree... I've always had difficulty finding stuff on that site. But the last time I mentioned that, everyone beat the crap out of me, claiming I was "technically deficient".
