    Default Another damn tire thread!

I will need to replace my T1-S tires before Hallet

    What to get?

Car is a daily driver that sees a rare once or twice a year track day.

I want the new tires to be at least as grippy as the T1-S
Safe rain handling as my wife will be driving it back and forth to work.
Not as concerned with tread wear.
Want to pay as little as possible.
    Available in 195/50/15 or 205/50/15

    Considering the following:

    Toyo T1-R
    Falken Azenis
    Hankook RS-2 (is that right?)

    Any other suggestions?
    ...and across the line.

    1996 Mazda Miata - R-Package (Eve-L)
    2012 Mazda CX-9 - Grand Touring (Dory)

I love my Falken Azenis 615s, but I don't know how they handle in the rain yet. The Azenis 215s were OK in the rain, but far from great. I am told that the 615s are a little better in the rain. I know that several of the guys at the dog house are sold on the 615s for the track.

If the car is used 99% on the road and 1% on the track, just go with the T1-R.

Got me pegged. For the $$/track time is a great tire for the $$$ as long a onlinetire keeps them on sale.

I know this may be a little late, but I picked up some Falken Ziex 512s from edge racing before we moved from Dallas to Wichita, KS. They were recommended here a while back, both tires and dealer. In the month we've been here it has poured a few times, and rained lightly a few times. So far the tires have been superb. I don't race/track it at all, this is strictly a daily driver for us. The price/shipping from edge was excellent as well. I had them installed at Wal-mart on coit between 190/Plano pkwy. I think it was right at $50 total, and honestly they were nicer than anyone at NTB/discount. Didn't hassle me one bit about bringing tires in and didn't try to up sell me on anything. www.edgeracing.com

Just place my order at Online Tires for (4) Toyo T1-R in 195/50/15.

A true CB approved price of $291.72 shipped.

Who are you going to use to mount/balance them? Someone in the McKinney area?
