I was just wondering what is considered the best model Miata/MX5 for stock class in AutoX.
I know the old R-Package was it for the NA and then it was the Sport when the NB came out.

For CS (C-Stock) my '99 Sport is the one to have! Woot! ::Banana::
Actually the MS-R is looking like it has some serous potental, but ya pretty much have to build one and you can (so far) only use a 2007 MX5 per da rulez! ;)
The NA R-package is the best Miata for E-stock but is usually out classed by the '93 MR-2.
The '99 sport is the gold standard for C-stock but the MS-R package, like POS said, is showing a lot of potential. I'd love a MS-R b/c of the torque of the NC and the great ABS brakes, but the simplicity of the '99 sport and cheaper tires is great.
Uh oh, sounds like somebody is getting the bug... :D
One that doesn't have 400lb of "Comfort & Convenience" mods? ;)
No. Just curious.
Not lazy, poor with petrol at $3.75/gallon. It would likely cost me >$50 for gas and event fees not including lunch and vehicle wear and tear. Besides. I get up early enough during the week. I like sleeping in on the weekends. :D
Good one! About to add another 40 lbs in under chassis bracing too but at least it will be "low" weight. ;) (Mmmmm... FM Butterfly Brace!)
One day, when I get my SC the added weight hopefully won't be as much of an issue. :burnrubr:
Wow... I pegged you for the guy that read it cover to cover the day it arrived in the mail. Mine sat for a few weeks, still in the plastic, but I took it with me to Jury Duty yesterday and read it while I waited. I guess your comment jumped out at me because I had just read the article.
