The employee pricing puts the v6 under 35k (33,xxx) and around 23 MPG per the EPA.
Yea I also like the CTS need to make a trek to the 'lac dealer and drive them. The Highlander was built on an Avalon chassis we were told, and the Avalon is basically a stretched Camry.
I do kind of like the Bling Bling of the Avalon. ::OldMan::
Then you oughta look into one of these...
Buick Enclave "Urban CEO Edition" ::pimp::

My dad bought a CTS in 2005. Amazingly, he still loves it. This is the first GM product he has had that long that he did'nt hate after purchasing. He purchased his at Moritz in Arlington. They beat the Crest dealers price by a long shot. The Crest dealer wanted more for the car with the same options, but with the smaller V6 than Moritz offered and with less haggling.
Well Toyota Financial called me this morning they want the 4Runner back on Dec. 17th.
I guess I need to bump this project further up the list.... ::Censor::
Buy the CTS V!!!!!!!!! Then you can carry your kids to the grocery store faster than everyone else on the block. Maybe Ken will then buy one so we can drive it at the APEX instructor day!!
CTS V is going to be a bit spendy... ::2Dollar:
But ya know I can get quite the deal on a Pontiac G8 GT... Hmmmmmm
My problem with the G8 GT is it is a Holden badged as a Pontiac sold by GM.... Which makes me wonder about reliability, longevity, and parts availability.... Plus has anyone ever seen one of these on the streets yet?

The drivetrain ought to be bulletproof, since GM has built a gazillion LSx engines, and the 6L80 transmission has been in everything from the Vette to the Yukon Denali to the XLR-V Series. If it's good enough for a $100k Caddy, it ought to hold up in a $30k Pontiac.
How the rest of the car will hold up is anyone's guess, but I'd bet being a rebadged Holden is probably a good thing.
All the reviews I've read compare the G8 to a poor man's M5. That doesn't sound like a bad thing at all, although I'd probably want to hold out for the GXP.
Lease and when GM goes bankrupt you should be free of the lease.
IIRC, if a car company goes belly up, Big Brother has provisions to make OEM parts available for 7 years.
::hal:: At least, that's the way it was when DeSoto went out of business ::OldMan::
