Congrats. Sorry I was not available to answer your questions earlier. Looks like you got the info you need.
The trouble you were having sliding the trans back in was probably due to having the clutch disk almost perfectly aligned on the pilot bearing, or having the transmission almost perfectly in-line with the engine. After you do a lot more of these, you will be able to trim the amount of time it takes to complete the job. Hopefully, you don't have to practice on your own car anytime soon.

You just earned a big man-stripe. Changing a clutch solo is high on the list of things that bump you up the man ladder.
Haha, Thanks man. The hardest thing I have ever done is a timing belt job until now. It was not easy to change out the clutch, that's for sure. Wish I had a second hand to hold that tranny. It's very heavy.Quote:

When I put the flywheel back on I used blue locktite and just put them on with my impact tool which should have been enough tork to keep it on I think. LoL I couldn't find a way to keep the flywheel in place whil I tightened them so I just used the air gun. I ended up missing a bolt for the headers so now I have a small exhaust leak. No, I did not have one. I had to use a standard jack for it. I also had the exhaust still running through which made it harder I think. I just pulled the headers loose to get it to move a bit underneath.Quote:

::Cry2:: This morning there was a nice oil spot right where the oilpan and tranny meet. :gaah:
Seems like my oil seal was bad or something cuz it didn't leak like that before.
Just wanted to say that thanks to Rogue who redid my rear main seal for me so I wouldn't miss any more days of work. :-D
No more leaks.
