If she was really-really serious, this is a no-brainer: buy whatever car has the low mileage she wants, and swap it if it's a SNC car (shortblock from Mazda or a rebuild from a reputable source). If she absolutely has to keep it "matching numbers" get the replacement crank for the SNC block. Done. It would take less time (and probably cheaper) to do that than it will to find the unicorn she is looking for (which, by the way, I bet the majority of the ones that fit her criteria will be from 1990).
