Uh, why is she looking for a 20 year old Miata then? If she has serious coin to drop she needs a shiny new 458 Italia instead. She also needs to let forum members borrow it one weekend a month.

That Glen Ord looks awsome. Never seen it, I assume they don't sell it in the states? I'm more of an Islay man nowadays, but the bottle of Highland (Highland Park 12) I have is fantastic.
That probably explains why my shipments always show up marked as "collectibles" or "antiques".

Glen Ord is one of my favorites. Their run of the mill 12 year is up there with the best, and their signature releases can be exquisite. I just finished a bottle of 18 year old bottled in 2008. Best whisky I've ever drunk. Unfortunately there is no more to be had.

Glen Ord isn't sold outside commercially of the UK. Their distillery isn't far from where my father grew up, so I've been fortunate to visit it a couple of times.

Because she wants a 15ish year old Miata.

Don't listen to these knuckleheads. If you are looking for a low mileage NA, then get a low mileage NA. It's you business, not theirs.

I did a quick search on Autofinder, didn't find much with low miles (to be expected). But here is the search in case any others show up:

    http://cars.autofinder.com/UsedCar/S...currentPage-1/

I'll also keep an ear to the ground for anyone selling a low mileage NA. Good luck with your search.

My pleasure. And if you're not doing anything tonight, some of us are going to be at Jack Junkies putting some parts on some cars. Come out and meet the group. People are a lot nicer in person when they can't hide behind a keyboard and insult people.

I'm not sure if I'm insulted by that or not, but in an effort to stay on-topic... I enjoy brie with my > $20 Merlot. THEN, on to the Scotch.

I also feel everyone needs to take life, the internet, and this forum in general, more seriously. Just sayin'.

Actually, they say a lot less flattering things about you in person than I've ever seen them type... Who knew?

I get the impression that you've overlooked the meaning of "in person" in your rush to write something witty and entertaining. I'll be at Jack Junkies tonight if anyone grows a pair would like to express their feelings in person, for real this time. I'll have a few choice words for you as well. And with no moderator to pick sides, well we'll have a grand ole time.

Or you can just ... .

Lets see, how do I say this nicely? If you were doing your job, then you would not allow members of this group to dog pile people like this. This guy made a simple request ... he's looking for a low mileage NA. What happened here is what happens everywhere else on this site ... a handful of people have free reign to say whatever they want whenever they want. I'm not sure why. But for whatever reason, you allow it to happen. And when people complain about it, then they are the problem. Fine. But it doesn't make this a very good place to hangout ... unless you're one of those people. It's your site man. Do with it what you will. If it wasn't for the GTG folks on the east side, I'd have no reason to be here.

So I'll see your comment and raise you one ... I challenge you to learn how to moderate a forum in an objective manner and put the needs of the whole over the needs of the few. I have a feeling we'll both learn our lessons ... when pigs fly. But thanks for the tip.

How do I say this nicely...fuck off.

News flash...this is not my job. It does not pay my bills, and dicks like you provide no value. No one needs you to stand up for them. STFU, mind your own business and quit embarrassing yourself.

You've been here a month and act like you know the forum and the members inside and out.....you are totally and utterly clueless!

This is your last warning on this subject. I'll ban you and you'll have to go back to trolling at the hermaphrodite forum you're so fond of.

This. If she was really-really serious, this is a no-brainer: buy whatever car has the low mileage she wants, and swap it if it's a SNC car (shortblock from Mazda or a rebuild from a reputable source). If she absolutely has to keep it "matching numbers" get the replacement crank for the SNC block. Done. It would take less time (and probably cheaper) to do that than it will to find the unicorn she is looking for (which, by the way, I bet the majority of the ones that fit her criteria will be from 1990). If she doesn't even consider it, she's just wasting time.

Check Miata.net classifieds. I've seen some crazy cream puffs on there. Also check www.funcarsforsale.com as he has had some low mileage Miatas for sale in the past.

Strathound and anyone else offended. It's the internet and one needs to grow thick skin and let the silly B.S. bounce off. The fact is, we are a close knit group and tend to bash on each other in good fun all the time. I don't think anyone is going to change so either accept it or move on.

You forgot to mention "and are easily entertained by people who get their panties bunched up easily," but otherwise spot on.
