I'd say it is a steal. I got mine for 11,500 2 weeks ago with 11k more miles, no extras besides a set of off-brand 16" wheels.
Interesting intake setup he has there, non-orthodox for these cars. Looks like a FM TB Elbow w/custom bypass and a REALLY weird wastegate setup coming off of the compressor outlet bridge pipe...
I know this won't turn off most people here, but I'd bet it's seen some aggressive driving, maintenance is likely something to look at with it.
Overall, I'd buy it if I didn't just buy one!

Good catch... it's got the MSM rear bumper, but it is missing the front bumper lip. It also looks lowered, so he may have mangled it and took it off, or he could have been in an accident. It should look like this:Quote:

Take the VIN # and call Mazda to see if it even was a MS Miata. It's not hard to swap parts around and slap a decal on a car.
It's either that or it's a wreck/rebuild and a cheap one at that.
He is also missing the rear spoiler and the logos are shaved...other than that it looks like a mazdaspeed.
I think it has a pretty good look to it.

You can see that he had a big ass turbo on the car at one time, not that its a bad thing, but there could be potential problems with the engine. The drift sticker kinda leads you to believe that this car has been put thru it hard.

I like the look of the car without all the tupperware, shaved badges and HT.
Not that I claim to know anything at all about MSMs, but I thought they all came with canvas tops not vinyl.

Both bumpers were replaced, seller said only bumpers were damaged. Salvaged title. Seller seems very shady.

Its a real MSM. I bought my car from him, this is what he replaced it with since the 99 was "too slow". To be honest I wouldnt recommend buying it. He's young, buys cars, drives the shit out of them and then sells them when he's bored. This one had a big turbo kit which is the reason for the larger front mount. According to a friend of his that I know it was nearing 300ish whp.
I didn't confront him about my car but basically he didn't fill me in on all the details about it, I found out later on but that's my own fault for not looking into it. Car was a Cali car, 6 owners, he bought it from an auction for less than half of what I paid. Never transferred the title over to his name so I had to go with a bonded title. After gave him the cash, he told me about the EGR issue. A couple of thousand miles later; piston ring goes.
