Does anyone know of a product that will protect the driver's seat bolster? Miata's are famous for them getting chewed up, and I'd like to protect my new leather! :cat:
I found this, but it is fugly!

That's even worse than the chaps Sharpie wears!
Yep, mine are stylin' and they make my butt look good.
Seriously though, I find myself very conscious of the bolsters when getting in and out of the car. I scoot forward in the seat before turning my hips and pay attention to how I lift myself out of the car.
Now lets see some pictures of this new leather Sammmmmmmmmm.
^I'll post some up after I get home today.
Pics.
There was a company making bolster covers back in the 90's, but they had stopped selling them when I tried to find a set. I had emailed the company to see if they would sell me the pattern so I could have a set made, but they never replied.
EDIT: here is a thread on the pointy board where I discussed them with others and posted a picture: http://forum.miata.net/vb/showthread.php?t=215935
^Thanks Todd....those are exactly what I was looking for. One of my sister-in-law's is a good seamstress, I'll send her that picture
and ask if she thinks she could copy it.
Those look really good. Who made them? They look correct.
^Thanks Sharpie...I ordered them from here:

They have some for Barney, too!
That's a smokin' deal. My Katzkins were double that.
Yep, $385 shipped. They did ship from overseas (Pakistan, I think it was), but I'm happy with them and they are all full leather. I ordered red, but the guy recognized it was for a '93LE and shipped me the darker, burgundy color.
He also emailed me to ask if I wanted holes for headrest speakers, which I did. There were no holes punched in the leather, but that wasn't a big deal. I bought the punch tool if you ever want to borrow it.
Here's what I ordered:
Leather Colors Option: Red Two Tone Inserts Color Option: none Nova-suede Inserts Color Options: none Embroidery Options: none Embroidery Color Options: none Top Stitching Color Option: none Piping Color Option: none
Wish they made the 95M covers.
Wish they had them for 2001 or Gabby would post a link for me.
POS and sammm can help you make these fit: https://www.interior-innovations.com...duct_detail/85
Probably not.
^RIF - Genuine Leather Option Charge - $145
Mine are installed in my car (see pics above somewhere). Happy with them. Leather is soft and they appear to be well made.
I tried to get samples too, but was told they couldn't do it. Probably because the actual product comes from overseas.
Interesting. They said yes and ask for my shipping address.

Great! (Maybe it's just the red?)
Got the dark brown sample in the mail today. Looks pretty decent. Thicker than I'd expected. I think I may order a set.
