Yeah, he's a big one. Plus, his head measured at 13 3/4" and that was with "cone head" still going on right after birth. I would bet his head measures about 15" now. I am supprised my wife came through ok.
I was 10 lbs. 20" when I was born and all my brothers were over 9 lbs so I figured we would have a big boy. Our daughter was 7 lbs 8 oz @ 19" which is pretty big for a girl.
As for sleep, we are trying but its hard to get any. He is a pretty quiet kid for the most part. But his first night home my wife and I tried to lay down and get some sleep at about midnight. Well, he got us up at 12:30 amd wouldnt let us go back to sleep until 4:30, and we had to get up at 6 am to get our daughter ready for school. BUt, he lets us go back to sleep till after 10 so we made up for it. Good luck I didnt have to work yesterday. Last night was ok though. Went to bed at 12:30 and slept till morning. We are trying to keep him awake some right now in hopes he will sleep through the night again.
Congrats! Do parents compare baby birth weights like motor sizes? You know your talking and your friend says "yea my wife gave birth to a 7lb 8oz baby" and you just chuckle and say "mine was 8lbs 15oz"

It has been stated many times here, however, Congratulations!!! Glad to hear he is healthy!!!!!
