    I was a Scout leader for 11 years. Cub Scouts was pretty soft, pretty much just entertaining the kids. More family oriented. The Boy Scout troops are really the only ones that do the hardcore outdoor stuff.

    I think I got as far as the Wolf Badge. I stopped after they never gave me my beads or arrow points for completing the progress activities in the handbook and overall attendance at the meetings started to wane.

    I never understood why my dad didn't encourage me to keep going. He was an Eagle Scout. If he'd pushed me to stick with it I probably would've at least made it to Webelos.
