I have the metric set from harbor freight. They are nice and sharp and I have had no problems. The die handle is crap but it does work.

witch one would work best for a miata seeing as that's what i will use it mostly for.

I just bought a set from vatozone for $10 or so.Looks like the harbor freight set but with less sizes.
I haven't successfully tapped anything yet without stripping it yet, but I think it was a combination of not knowing what I was doing and the material I was tapping - a plastic shift knob and a cheap ebay hub spacer, metal was almost soft enough to scratch with a fingernail.
Metal seems sharp and hard, does it work well, I have no idea...guess im not contributing very much am I?
