When I put the key in the ignition there is a beep beep beep alert that goes off. Most times it goes off right after starting the car but not always. Sometimes it goes off while I am driving and it wont stop for 5 minutes. Does anyone know what the beeping is for? Not seatbelt alert I tried that. It's coming from the dash. Almost as if right behind the speedometer? Whats causing this? What can I do to fix it? Thanks
Are you leaning on the horn button when you insert and twist the key?
Is it a buzz or a beep? Could it be from some kind of after market device from the previous owner?
RX7s would honk the horn when you spin them too fast.
Maybe its from the 6spd conversion?
Don't know what model/features you have. Could it be an alarm for low tire pressure? No mention of audible alerts in your owners manual?
Mine does the exact same thing if it hasn't been driven for a few days. In my case it's related to an old alarm system that needs to be yanked out.
The airbag brain beeps sometimes when there is a problem.
I use to worry about money; but then realized I don't HAVE anything to worry about.
You must be new to Miatas. Are you not aware that they are psychic? Every time you think of a stupid question to ask, the car will beep at you...

Ha no my first Miata did it as well it's all stock. If I could locate the spot where it's coming from I would pull it out just seeing if anyone else had this problem. It will randomly beep when I'm driving as well.
I'll just rip the dash out to find it.
My guess is the blue box above the steering column. That's the air bag computer on the 90-94 models. I'd just unplug it and yank it as I wouldn't trust a 20 year old explosive device. Probably your air bag light in the gauge cluster is burned out or removed by the PO. When this happens the air bag computer sends out an audible notification to alert you there is a problem.
Mis-match wheels on the car. Are you running different size wheels?
M3 is always the answer.
Yep found it that's what it was thanks man Im going to take it out.
Yea I did last night it's the best four tires I have so stock in front konig rims in back ha ghetto as f***
Yea I def need to buy some 949 15x8 rims soon thow ha if anyone knows of any for sale cheaper than buying straight from 949 racing message me.
Might check the door sensors. Both of mine somehow got destroyed and the wires are hanging inside the foor frame. Whenever it gets humid or rains, they short and trip the door buzzer/interior light randomly while driving.
