Damn glad I drive a Miata and further reinforced in patiently waiting for the ND. Thanks to modernbeat for finding this article.

I've never seen/heard Toyota/Subaru calling it mid-engine; only that the engine is mounted lower and further back than the H4's in previous Subarus because they no longer needed to drive the front wheels.

On the double wishbone topic, they did say in that article "No matter what you call it, the suspension that Scion/Subaru has fitted back here is quite good out on the road." For camber adjustment, it's just replacing a bolt (http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6725) and I believe this is how many other Subaru's handle camber adjustment as well.

I think the BRZ will offer a second, higher trim level than the Scion version (and be priced accordingly). That said, I think I'd go for the Subaru cred and suspension set-up but find a way to graft the Scion front end onto the car.

Had to swing by the Nissan dealership (Dennison,Tx) to pick up a part. It's a combo Nissan/Honda/Toyota kinda place with seperate facilities for each, and a combo used car lot. First thing to catch my eye is a silver FR-S prominently displayed on the used car lot?

So, after getting my part, on the way out I stop by to check it out. Mostly interested to see if there is a market adjustment price of some type.

Indeed it has a used car sticker on the window, no price listed. Old guy salesperson saunters up and introduces himself. Then the very next words out of his mouth are "it's $27,xxx". I ask if that's the retail price for a new one and he say no, new retail is $26,xxx.

I ask him if Scion still has the no haggle, fixed pricing? He says yep, but not on used ones (with a crooked evil grin).

The car had 482 miles on it (so he said, car was locked).

As I'm peering through the tinted windows, he says "ain't been nuttin but a bunch of young kids been checking it out, we wont even let em test drive it, but you can drive it if ya want"..

I wouldn't be suprised to find out that a LOT of FR-S end up on Scion used car lots with a couple of hundred miles. Crooked, sleazy bastards.

Come on, it's possible that someone else's Ken O bought it, found out that he didn't fit, and traded it on another after keeping in three days (in case the other one fits).

It was my old car. I didn't fit. Only took a $10k hit on trade in.
