    Default Windshield Crack Repair Kit?

I have a two-inch crack in my windshield, near the edge, caused by a rock hitting it. Does anyone know where I can get the repair kit, locally? I found lots of kits to repair chips, but none that say they are okay for a crack of that size.

    Thanks,

Don't think there is a remedy.

That's why they make chip repair kits - so they won't crack.

Most insurance companies will pay to fix it for free. If not you can try the chip repair and flex the crack open or use a light to heat up the crack and open it up. Do this at your own risk.

It was too late for the chip repair kit - the force of impact caused the chip and crack at the same time.

I have liability only, so insurance won't cover. (Probably wouldn't get much with full coverage for a 352K mile 99 miata.) Thanks for the Youtube link.

    Thanks for the suggestions

Miata windshields are not to expensive. For $130-$180 you can get new glass installed. Just an option.

Probably going to go that route if it spreads any further. The Permatex repair kit didn't work, due to the crack extending to the edge of the glass. Flexing to fill it made it longer.
