Default NTTA - Toll Tag Question

So as you may have seen we got a new car this weekend and traded in and old one.

Old one had a Toll Tag. I removed it the best I could while I was at the Dealership and I have all the remains. Didn't want someone getting free use of the tag if I let it out of my sight.

So I take it you have to call and kill the old tag in the system and order up a new one??

But when I called the number on the Toll Tag and get some random message about a full mailbox (972)-818-6882???

    TIA

One or more of the FAQs on the NTTA Toll Tag site might be useful: https://www.ntta.org/custinfo/faqs/P...lTag-FAQs.aspx

Can I transfer the TollTag if I buy a new vehicle?

Each TollTag is directly associated with a specific license plate on record with NTTA. If at any time you obtain a new vehicle or new license plate, you should update your TollTag account with the new information.

If you have purchased a new car with temporary (paper) plates, you must update your account. You can make this update via online account management or by contacting NTTA Customer Service at 972-818-6882 or 817-731-6882. Once the permanent license plate is received, you should update your TollTag account with the new information.
You might also try calling that 817 number, but it looks like you should be able to do what you need to do by logging in to your online toll tag account.

The young lady explained that she was going to charge me $9.99 a minute to talk to her.... But she seems really nice!

    Thanks Sammmm!

Thanks as well! The old tag isn't going to be able to be utilized anymore it came off in several pieces. And as you know ya can't remove a Tag from the list only modify the car info....

The 817 number actually rings busy. I take it NTTA isn't having a good day.

How do I cancel a TollTag on my account?
You may contact the Customer Service Center at 972-818-6882 or 817-731-6882 or use At Your Service to schedule an appointment to deactivate one or more TollTags on your account. Please have your driver's license number and the TollTag DNT number (located on the front of the tag, above the barcode) ready.

Ft. Worth number finally answered this evening I sat on hold for 45 minutes. After some arguing about who now had the Toyota I was finally able to have them remove that Toll Tag from the system....

The online deal would let you schedule an appointment but opening were not for anytime soon. I'm just not that patient.
