Default Tire recommendations for stock rims

Are there any sizes that ya'll recommend for the stock 14 inch rims other than the stock size??

The only available tires on Tire Rack that I would consider running keep my choices very narrow. As there are only 3 options.

    Thanks for any help.

I have 195/60R14's on my car now.

For autocross, the street tire choice is limited to two tires.

    195/60R14 Falken Azenis RT-615 link

    or

    195/60R14 Hankook Ventus R-S2 link.

For the street, lots of folks like the Falken ZE-912.

Thanks for the advice. I like both of those tires.

Looks like a good tire there.

Are the 195/60R14s the recommended size for autocross. I was looking at some lower profile sidewall tires but I know I'm limited with the 14s.

If you want to run in SCCA stock, you must run the same diameter and width as the OEM wheels for the package that you have. The offset must be within 1/4" of OEM. You could run in E Stock or Tire E Stock. In E Stock, you can run R-comp tires, such as Kumho V710 or Hossier A6.

For 14" wheels, IMO, the Azenis RT-615 and the Ventus R-S2's are hands down the best "street" tires for autocross. Each only comes in 195/60R14. Therefore, 195/60R14 is the recommended size for "street" tire autocross.

If you don't intend to run SCCA stock, you have a lot of options for wheel size. Fifteen inch wheels will give you a lot more options for tires.

Well the 14s are on it now and I scored another set of 14s from here on the forum. I'll probably keep the car in stock but I know I want to brace it up and that'll move it to another class.

Not to mention a Supercharger is in it's future within the next year. That'll definatly change the class.

I guess larger rims could be in it's future or a set of 15 inch escort rims. We'll have to see until all that happens I guess I need a set of 14s which it looks like the ones you posted will work perfectly.
