Default My new Sparco seat finally came in!

It's a Sparco Sprint 5. The initial butt test says it'll be pretty comfy, if a bit snug. Need to cut down on the cheezeburgerz and start jogging again, I guess.

Yeah, I guess I'm kind of a seat whore...

    Here's a retrospective:

Not sure whether to call the Sparco #4 or #5... do they count as "new" seats if you just recover some old ones?

i got the previous bottom mount version of this. I'm about 200lbs and a smidge too fat for the seat. If I lost 10lbs It would be perfect...now i belt myself in to get all the way in LOL.

Nice! I tried getting a pair of these, but they were on backorder everywheres for like forever. Picked up some used bride knockoffs and at 32 waist they are tight, Did'nt install the pass side cause an instructor would be no joy. If I can find these in stock somewhere, I'm getting them. What are you using for mounting?

Congrats on the seat! I had an older model of the Sprint in my Miata for several years for track days and autocrossing. I found it to be very comfortable, once you got into it.

Yes! I found it in a dumpster when I was cleaning out my storage unit way back in September. It sure came in handy a couple weeks ago...

Yep, mine was on backorder for over a month - 1 week delivery turned into 2, which turned into 4, which turned into... etc etc etc.

To mount them, the first thing I'm going to try is a stock slider. The info I've seen on the Pointy Board suggests that they'll mate up with minimal cussing, and the seat height is comparable to stock. If that doesn't work as advertised, I'm going to make a bracket and bolt the thing down.

Are there any "go to" seats for an NA miata that a lot of people like, or is too much of a personal preference? I'm just under 6 feet tall with a 33" waist. Hoping to find a seat that is comfortable to drive around on the streets and good enough to hold me in place for track days, hopefully for $2-300...

    I'm 6'1" about 195lb. waist size around 32-34

I fit nicely in a Sparco Roadster Seat. The cost is a bit higher but the seat is very comfortable and livable.

You're more than welcome to check it out one day.
