Default After market alternator for NA'S ??????

Been looking for a higher rated alternator for the 91m found up to 70 amp versions
and not any that were higher except for 225 amps which is almost $300. with the harness
required. anybody know what can be had for around 90 amps at a decent price ?

Upgraded m to a higher power stereo and 130 watt bridged amp with subwoofer.
The new head unit is a 4 channel jvc with 20 watts rms per channel.

I figure the smaller battery will not last long against the strain.

    Whats the best remedy ?

I would not worry about it unless you are having issues. Are your lights dimming when your sub hits hard?

i had a similar setup with an alpine and a bazooka 130 watt amp and didnt have any issues with the stock setup. is there an issue or are you just looking ahead

No issues so far but have not completely installed the system yet. May go to a bigger gel cell battery.
Now that i have removed the spare tire i have alot more room for stuff. May not need to go with a larger
alt. but just thought i would get some feedback on one if it is readily available.
Also working on bass reflex port to go thru the metal just behind the passenger seat back and into the trunk area.
The hole will be screened off and about 4" in diameter. positioned about 8" below the top of the passenger seat
head rest. This will boost bass response in the cabin. And help keep amplitude lower and save power.

If your worried about power and lights dimming get a Compasitor. The general rule is 1 farad per 1000 watts I had a 1800Watt stereo in my Jeep including the 4ch amp for the F&R speakers, An a mono amp for the Sub , I never had an issue with lights dimming or killing alternators. Even with my hi beams and 4 150watt daylighters on, But I had a 2 farad Compasitor which stored some power and kept the alternator from surging.

I don't need a capacitor installed on this system it's just not big enough. I may end up going with a gel cell battery a litle bit larger
than the stock one. That would make more sence.

    thanks for the replies
