You might want to come through customs at a busy time JRJ, since you are easily confused as a Canadian. Things have been rocky with Canada ever since Sammm was up there.

For those of you that don't already get the TX Region SCCA email alerts...

Sunday's event has another element to it:

    Ditch the Spare Tire Contest:
Once again, TX Region is going to have our off-season contest & anyone can win!

We all strive to get our cars as competitive as possible. Fast tires, shocks & all kinds of go fast “goodies”. Well now it’s time to Tune-up the most important part… The Driver!!
Ditch the Spare Tire is a contest like the popular TV show ‘Biggest Loser’ (except we won’t send you to camp to lose the weight.. you won't get to be on TV.. Oh yeah, and you won't have a personal trainer, cook or nutritionist on retainer either.) So it's just like the show in concept if not precise execution.

Contestants will weigh in at the Sunday, Nov 4th event with the official scale. Lose as much weight as you can during the off-season. Then, we’ll have a final weigh in at the first event in 2013 to determine the winners.

In addition to being healthier and lighter (read faster!), we’ll award free entries for 2013 events accordingly:

2 - Grand Prizes - Free Entry into ALL regular TX Region Solo 2013 season events
    - Largest percentage weight loss
    - Largest total weight loss (most lbs)

1 – 5 Free Entries into 2013 regular TX Region Solo events
    - 2nd Largest percentage weightloss

1 – 2 Free Entries into 2013 regular TX Region Solo events
    - 3rd Largest percentage weightloss

(Think of the percentage weight loss like a human PAX index – start with a more capable machine and it’s a little more difficult to stay on top!)

    DTST Rules:

    • Entry is free and open to anyone who wants to participate
    • There must be at least 8 contestants signed up in the contest at the November event for us to have the 4 awards. If there are less than 8 contestants there will only be 2 awards –1st and 2nd place for largest percentage weight loss.
    • You can’t win 2 awards - If the winner of the largest percentage loss also has the largest total loss we’ll move to the next person on the list, etc.
    • Anyone caught lining theirpockets with wheel weights, rocks or other items of mass at the Novemberweigh-in will have to do the final weigh-in naked…. At the drivers meeting!

Sign up is simple… show up at Sunday’s event & participate in the official weigh-in.

Btw, you have 3 more days to BINGE before the weigh-in!!

    Hey Folks!

As most of you know, there's going to be a UK film crew from the online motorsport magazine, "Mobil 1 The Grid" at our event on Sunday the 4th.

They've asked me to line up some folks that would be willing to having some of their cameras placed in cars during competition runs. The wilder or more interesting the car, the better!

If you are interested, shoot me an email.

Nice event today. Course was semi-challenging and the finish was a cold-hearted bitch. Hope Andy's vette isn't hurt too badly...

I really like Crandall, though it is taking some adjusting to the surface. I love how clean and fast it is. Gotta figure out a solution to the spring in the Middle of the lot. Great challenge, JJ.
