zipper on glass windowed soft top

Hello,

The back window on the Miata I recently acquired has a good zipper in it. As far as the teeth go they are great. The zipper pull piece got spread out and has disappeared It's no where to be found. I would hate to have to install a new zipper or replace the top over this as the top is still good.

Does anyone know what size zipper is on this top or where I can find just he pull itself??

A fabric shop such as Joanne's or an upholstery shop should have what you need.

If you have a boy in the scouts, have him make one of those neat little thongs of twisty plastic. Your child will think you're the greatest and you'll have something to use it for besides your keychain.

how easy is it to take the window out? If I could take the window out it would make life a lot easier when replacing the pull piece.

You can take it out but you risk busting the rain rail.

Plus on mine I had to "start" the zipper a couple of time to get it centered (It was a bit of a PITA).
