Default Look what followed me home this weekend!

Its a 1969 Lotus Europa SP 2. It needs and engine and a transaxle. Anybody know where I can get the engine and transaxle for one of these? Is there a local club?

Put an LS1 or STi motor in it. Look up how the 914 guys did it.

Why did the put a scoop on the front of that 914 when they stuffed the V8 behind the seats?

I think the torque of an LS1 would probably twist a Europa frame into a pretzel.

Any of you autocrossers have contact info for 'Lotus' Jay Mitchell?

You should hook up with CosmosMPower. I think he drives a Lotus, too.

    I would try here

This is where I used to go to get parts for my MGB, and chat up the owner for information. He's a real good guy and knows British cars.
    Blah blah blah!

+1 for that guy. My buddy bought his MGB GT there. He seemed to mostly have MG/Triumph/Jag stuff, but I'm sure he would at least be able to point you in the right direction if he didn't have any Lotus bits.

If this is the same Modernbeat that posts on the Grassroots Motorsports Board and lives in Houston, this is the same car.

Radiator/cooling system is in the front trunk, perhaps? Needs mad airflow :-P

Put me down as another vote for an EJ257 powertrain. I've always wanted a 914 powered by one of those. The Europa would be just as sweet.
