Thread: "Lite Minder" Mod

    Default "Lite Minder" Mod

There is a post in the garage section of the pointy board which instructs how to wire the door buzzer to also be a lights-on reminder. I sometimes drive with just the parking lights on just to make me more visible to other drivers. Have any of you done this mod and how do you like it?

I'm interested in the difficulty of doing this one. One day, I'll get tired of looking over my shoulder at my beautiful Miata and then noting that I have to walk all the way back across the parking lot to turn em off.

I haven't tried this yet, but will try to this weekend. I'll let you know whether it is successful or not.

Did any of yall ever get around to attempting this?

My buzzer was going crazy with all the rain so I decided to pull the door button sensor to check it out. The pieces just fell out in my hand, no wires attached. Somehow the wires have fallen out of the thing and are sitting somewhere in the unibody. Every bump seems to complete or break the circuit so my buzzer is going off like the Volkswagen's horn in 'Little Miss Sunshine.'

Looks like i'll finally get around to attmepting this mod in a few days, this is annoying as hell and I don't want to try to fish those wires out of wherever they went, much less try to wire them back to the door switch buttons.
