I preordered from some internet site (buy.com maybe?). Mine should be here in a couple days. I'm a little worried that I'm going to end up playing all night the night I get it and have to take off work the next day (to play more, not to sleeep).

picked mine up at 7:30 tonight, just stopped playing it at 12:30. Luckily my friend had GT3 saved on his card so I got A and B licence and 100,000 credit at the start. Bought a used 98 Civic type R and got it up to 313hp. Won a Mazda 6 and a Skyline already. We found a fun track that winds in out of city, really narrow roads. I'll post later when I get the name of it and how to get to it. Off to bed now.

My brother sent me a EB gift card for Christmas... I've just been holding onto it for this long! Sort of a very late Christmas and 1 day late birthday gift from that cheap bastard!

Been playing up until now... 1am...

Wow it is much more difficult than GT3. The car pitches and dives so much that anything other than smooth imputs ruin you. I have just been doing the i-b and i-a liscense test so far.

You mean, like in real [live] racing?

Seriously, is it worse than "real life", or is the game just becoming a more realistic simulator? Have you tried different settings on things like spring rates and swaybar settings? Just curious if this is a problem or a "feature"...

All I can really say is, "WHEEEEEE!"

Also, how do you turn off the #$&# shadow car? Pressing select doesn't seem to do it any more.

Ohh so much fun. I was the first one to pick it up at the North Arlington location.

I've only done about 8 laps of the ring, and that thing is tough. I did it in an Elise, and any lift at high speeds and your screwed.

I also did the $100K and license transfer, started with a Miata though. Didn't wanna get anything with too much power to start off with.

I also tried the Grand Canyon, it's so freaking narrow.

And yeah it seems like this version is slightly more sensitive than GT3 and less forgiving.

Wheee!!!! Got my S license in less than 24 hours! Wheee!!!

... and yes... I went through A & B on my own, thank you. Got the prize cars and trophies to prove it.

I picked up a copy at Fry's at lunch. They had many copies. I also picked up a set of new cables with an S-video connection for $10 at Blockbuster. Those cables made a HUGE difference in picture quality on my regular 36" Toshiba! I wanted component video cables, but they didn't have any.

This game is great, even if it doesn't have the capability to race on the internet.....

If you haven't already, GET THE UPGRADED CABLES!

Also, with this game, you can drink and drive, and every car so far gets about a million miles per gallon!
