    Default Tax Time

So who here does there taxes themselves? Last year we used HRblock.com and did it ourselves. This year I think I will try Turbotax. They have it on-line so you don't have to install the software this year. Any god/bad thoughts on TurboTax?
    No more Miata

Turbo Tax is GREAT. I've used it for the past six years. Just had my refund deposited today!

Yea, online is the way to go. I was able to figure out very quickly how many hundreds of dollars I owe.

Ditto! $$ should be in my bank today. I always use the the TCB Basic TuboTax and think the latest version is the best.

In past years they give rebate opn e-file to make it free, but they stop this year.

The Basic TurboTax ($19.99) plus e-file ($14.95?) comes to around $35.

I decided long ago it was worth paying someone to do mine so I didn't have to deal with it. Worth every penny to me.

I still use a Big Chief Tablet, a dull # 2 Pencil, and the Abacus my grandfather brought with him to the new world.
I did Turbo Tax last year, may do it again this year, I always tend to owe the tax man...... Wish I could hit that magical break even point, maybe it will happen this year!

Gotcha beat - my mother is an Enrolled Agent who spent 25 years specializing in individual and small business taxes before she retired. I just send her a shoebox full of papers once a year, and flowers on her birthday.

Oh yeah, professionals know all the tricks. I get money back every year.

My biggest hurdle is my income can vary quite a bit year to year depending on sales, I only get paid for orders no salary for me.

I'm not worried about the loan, just paying on 2 loans at the same time. Once the focus is gone, and I have a miata to buy, the loan will be here pronto. Good rates too!
