Pearsall also is home to the second largest strawberry. I will have to dig out an old pic of me with it. Or was it the peanut that was in Pearsall? Well, one of the two.

I'm in for sure. The Old Bull is still contemplating, so I may be searching for a ride if he decides not to go.

My wife and kids are coming along and they're going to stay at a hotel on Galveston Island. They'll be visiting the beach while I dodge cones...

Lisa Savage, Tim Bergin, Ann Langely and Henry Lin are all in for sure too.

The Old Bull is in! We'll be there representing the northern region of the SW Division for E Stock. I won't get there until late Friday, but the Old Bull and John Baker will be getting there at a reasonble hour I would think. Maybe we'll run the MR2 in C Stock...

Whatever happened to the push to get ES and CS combined, anyway? I haven't heard anything about it in a long time...

I hope more folks sign up. The late penalty doesn't hit until Thursday next week, so maybe it will jump a lot by Wednesday night.

I was hoping to go, but it looks like I'll be in Louisiana that weekend instead. Y'all have fun!

FYI, the Pearsall event is worth it.

Two years ago we hosted it (Spokes) and it won SCCA's Divisional of the Year.

I was mostly making fun of jrj512's random facts. I hope I didn't offend. I would love to make a divisional. summer school.

Anyone happen to know what the hotel is that is next door to the Fairfield in in Houston, the nice young lady I talked with tonight at the Fairfield knew nothing about the SCCA event, nor did she seem to have any rooms available for next weekend. I'll call again in the AM, but looks like I also may need a plan "B".

    TIA

Looking at the hotel page for the event, I'm going to guess you want the Best Western Mainland Inn & Suites, but I have been known to be wrong before.

I was a little worried when I noticed that they have different zip codes, but google Confirms that they are next door to each other.

I may have to reconsider Pearsall, and actually go.
