Thread: Looking for a guinea pig for custom vinyl.

Default Looking for a guinea pig for custom vinyl.

Long story short, I custom made the vinyl stripes that are on my car. Response on various forums was over the moon. Lots of people saying "I want that." A few weeks later an online Miata-specific vendor started selling vinyl in a design very similar to mine.

I just purchased the equipment and supplies to start selling the kits myself. I need to make a "how to install" instructional guide with photos. I'd rather not peel the vinyl off my car and start over, so I'm looking for one volunteer who would like these stripes for free just for allowing me to take photos of the installation process for the instructional guide.

Some more info is here. If you're interested email me at info [at] r2-limited [dot] -com-

I like stripes and would like to help you out!

If it matters though, my paint is a little faded and has some imperfections from being so old. Wouldn't look as nice as your car.

Dang... if only my paint was a little better, I'd volunteer my 92 for the task. I REALLY like those!

    I'm interested :)

Would it be "Eunos"? Or could I choose roadster?

It could be any of the designs. I've got 2 emails so far. It's going to be a week or two before I'm close to being able to do this. I'll reach out to the folks who have emailed me when the time comes and we'll figure out who the lucky bastard will be.

I'd like to give the crusty checker car a full body vinyl wrap.

The guy that lived next-door to my house in Dallas owned one of the big wrapping companies and had contracts with DART for buses along with a couple NASCAR teams. IIRC, the neighborly discount price for a solid color installed was something like $2500.

Yeah. Not looking to do vinyl installations of any type. Just looking to sell my vinyl designs as DIY-kits. I am by no means a vinyl expert. I'm just a dude with design skills and a vinyl cutter :)

If you generate some designs that flow with an NB more organically, I'd be down. The "Roadster" would almost work.

hightech signs in richardson quoted me $1500 to wrap a miata. You give them the design, they'll print it on their huge industrial printers and do the labor. I've seen Porsche Cup cars in there a few times being prepped for wraps.

Man, I'd love to see a yellow old-school "Mazda" stripe down my Marina green mica M-edition, but the wife would probably tell me I'm crazy. Nice to hear that you're gonna be making kits. Gives me time to work on her.

    Regards.

OMG, I showed my wife the gold-ish looking one on your site, and the wife said, "that'd look great!". So If this is a first-in-line I'm 3rd. If it's a lottery, toss in my name to be considered.

    Regards.

Thank you to Sharpie for being my test subject. Have plenty of pics for the how-to and even got some decent beauty shots once we were all done.
