My mom called last night and said that one of her headlights went out. She has an 00 RX300 with HIDs. I figure it is probably the bulb, but there seem to be more points of failure with HIDs than regular headlights. Is there anything I should check before we drop ::2Dollar: on a new bulb? It seems that replacement is fairly straight forward and similar to regular lights.

It's either the bulb, ballast or igniter. I would check the bulb first and if the bulb is good switch the ballasts and igniters from side to side and see if that's the problem.
