Good old California is at it again!

If I were a Kalifornia taxpayer, I'd be pissed that my tax money was being wasted on this instead of going to infrastructure or education.

Public nuisance, huh? Well, if that's the way California feels, maybe all the automakers should pull their dealerships out of the state and void the warranty of any new car that is bought out of the state and then registered in CA. (pipe dream, but fun to think about). I'm sure the populace would be thrilled with that. Or maybe Calif. should just make autos illegal outright, what with being a nuisance and all. I'm sure the state's subjects wouldn't mind. It's not like they have any real money invested in autos out there...:rolleyes:Quote:

What's next? Lawsuits against the gas companies for the same reason? Can't have emissions without burning gas.
And since I'm already in rant mode ::Rant:: ... What happens when the 9th Circuit Court sides with the state? How many other states will follow suit, trying to fill their coffers? What do you suppose that will do to the price of cars, which are already so high it makes my head hurt to think about replacing any one of mine? So we all, as consumers, end up paying more that just goes right into government pockets! Woo Hoo!! Love me the system!! ::BaHump:: ::Rant::::BaHump:: ::Rant::

Not sure if anyone saw this movie, but in the 90s CA put forth it's first emissions law which in turn spurred the creation of the electric car, which was fabulous, but it was killed off by a combination of govt, big oil, and car companies. CA air board caved after being sued and retracted the emissions law.
