Yes, this was a challenging course, and I never really got a flow going. There were definitely fast lines out there, but they were tough for me to find consistently. At least I finally have Novice all to myself! See ya, BenRomans. :)

:thumrigh: treat 'er nice. haha
5 runs and gone by 2:45 was good. Finishing 5th behind 2 Hondas and the constant wind was not.
Caitlin in a real car propped up by 2 pillows and blushing and giggling after spinning the car was worth the trip.
LOL at the Pillows :D
Yaaa 4th place in Novice lol. First time I've ever gotten any kind of trophy for the occasion :P I now have two SCCA magnetic cones stuck to my fender lol
ETA-anyone know if anybody was taking pics today? I've got a few but nothing major and I'm putting together a slide show now.
I saw autoxmax with his camera. I'm sure he will post some photos later.

The course looked fun in the video.
I just couldn't get in any kind of groove. I would get a good line on one section then screw up another. So an and so forth. The backend of the course was the worst.
On my last run of the day I got a DNF in the first quarter of the track by blowing past a slalom. I then consented to have some extra fun and proceeded to use the Miata like a sledge hammer beating my way though the course in the most classes fashion possible lol.
It was a good time.
If you were not turning early on the back of the course (Ben was not in his video), then it would be very ugly. Remember, it takes .5 second to turn the wheel and at least that much again for the car to respond. You need to turn a second before you reach the cone if you plan to back-side it. Add on even more time if your car was already steering in the opposite direction. It would be great to have a test and tune at MW with something just like that so you can see the difference in speed if you turn early and get used to doing it all of the time. I still turn late. It's tough.
Oh and I haven't uploaded any pictures yet I plan to build up a slide show using windows movie maker. If ya'll see any pics on that, that belong to you let me know and I'll send the full res version via e-mail :)
Not to be an old stick in the mud, but if you do go out there without setting up a rental agreement and get run off by the airport management, don't tell them you're with any of the clubs... we'll all deny knowing who you are...;)
I'm being a wise-acre, but in all seriousness we have enough site issues without anyone 'helping' us out.
And remember - Jerrett Jan is the default answer when a law enforcement official is asking you what your name is. If they don't buy that Hal is a good name too.

On a more serious note -
A huge thanks to everyone who could help out with donations to Dennis. We made the deposit yesterday, and he was very appreciative. He indicated that it will really help.
I also put in an offer for help from his autocross family for anything else he needs - from helping out with rides for his family to/from the airport to you name it - we've got a wealth of resources and talent to tap. I'm confident we'll step up if needed.
