Most fun I've had at Pennington in my 2 years of Autocross Disease(AD).
Thanks for the effort and smooth coordination that made it happen.
Way to go jrj & the NTS2KOC crew!
Oldbies were challenged & newbies got a good taste of AD.
Who would have imagined, ~ 50 seconds at Pennington.......
Looking forward to AX#2.
If you weren't there and want to see how an epileptic would have seen a 48 second course at Pennington, click here (be sure to watch in "HD" for full motion sickness).
I had my coilovers at full hard and never skipped. I need to learn to LFB though, because in all the 180's I was sitting there thinking "if I could tap the break I'd be pointed the right way already."
LOL that's funny.
Reminds me of back when I used to drag race bikes. My brother was going to take my bike for a run and he goes and gets on someone elses motocycle.
I caught him before he took it down the track.
Good news, everyone -- I have secured the Bus Lot at Texas Motor Speedway for our next event on Saturday, April 25th. The TMS Bus Lot is a great venue because it is twice the size of Pennington! Look for more information soon, but go ahead and mark your calendars.
I will hopefully be able to announce our third event in a day or two.
I don't think my "48.721+1" was a valid run. I think the "52.424" is closer to reality, not that it matters, it wouldn't change the results. I think the 48 was a "wind aided" run. Looks like one of my 4 runs was also lost in the wind. I never got an indication that I needed to do a rerun. Oh well, no biggie, great event and the 'Stang could only manage 4 runs anyway.
I took a TON of pics, hopefully I can finish wading through them in a day or two and get them posted. Also, the pics will all be available in their full size goodness for download - gratis. Details to come.
Great 1st event, my compliments to all the folks that made it happen.

There are 1371 pictures, some of them came out pretty good. Click on a thumbnail to view the larger size (1300X870). Once the page and picture loads, click on the larger picture and the full size picture will load (3872X2592). Right click on the full size picture and click Save Picture As in Internet Explorer or Save Image As in Firefox, then save the picture. If you are using another browser than the 2 mentioned, then you should know how to save a picture, ::Bum::!
Jarret (or someone else) please post this on the S2k board, Thanks.
We have secured Mineral Wells for our third event on Saturday 5/30.
Holy crap, GREAT pictures!
