Sweet! One of the guys I fly RC with (and who helped me get a job at FedEx) is a skydiving instructor and he said he'd hook me up... I just gotta grow a pair first ;)

My uncle was a paratrooper in World War II. I ask him how many times he jumped out of an airplane. He said "Once, after that they had to push me."
Looks like great fun! It's in my to-do list, hopefully I'll get to do it soon. :D
I couldn't make myself jump when I went bungee-jumping. Stood there and stood there...Had to close my eyes and just lean till I fell off. Can't imagine what it's like from several thousand feet higher.
as you saw, they don't give you much of a chance to reconsider, once you are in the plane you are going. I think Kamil saw the altimiter on my instructor and it was somewhere in the 12,500-13,000 ft range when we left the plane. All I can say is that if you are thinking of doing it....DO IT

Why does the guy with the parachute get the helmet and the newbie only gets goggles?
I went when I was 18. It was a blast. Because of the distance from earth you don't feel like you are screaming towards it. It was actually very peaceful in the air. Once you got over getting out of the plane it was very fun just "floating" I havent bungee jumped, but considering that if you go on a tandem skydive someone else has their self interest at heart, when you go bungee jumping you just hope the guy picked out the right cord for you.
