Why would anyone jump out of a perfectly good airplane?

From what I hear, that plane was held together by more than its fair share of duct tape...

You will notice I said it was a decent plane. When asked about the duck tape, one instructor replied that it was ok, cause the tape was FAA approved.....At that point I wanted to be hooked in to someone with a parachute just in case

There is never a good reason to jump out of a perfectly good airplane! :)

My uncle was a paratrooper in World War II. I ask him how many times he jumped out of an airplane. He said "Once, after that they had to push me."

If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

I couldn't make myself jump when I went bungee-jumping. Stood there and stood there...Had to close my eyes and just lean till I fell off. Can't imagine what it's like from several thousand feet higher.

as you saw, they don't give you much of a chance to reconsider, once you are in the plane you are going. I think Kamil saw the altimiter on my instructor and it was somewhere in the 12,500-13,000 ft range when we left the plane. All I can say is that if you are thinking of doing it....DO IT

Why does the guy with the parachute get the helmet and the newbie only gets goggles?
