Thread: Starbucks in Kuwait International

  1. #1

    Default Starbucks in Kuwait International

Well I'm sitting in Kuwait waiting for my plane to Sydney. Enjoying a Large Iced Machiato and taking advantage of the free wireless.

Just being in Kuwait City is quite the unique experience. Even while being in Iraq, my day to interactions with Iraqi's and Middle-Easterner's is pretty limited.

The biggest thing that pops out at me is that there is smoking inside the airport, although not very many people do it.

Kuwait does have a very luxurious feel to most of the city. The weather and terrain just plain SUCK though.

Can't wait to get to Aussieland, the girlfriend's there waiting already!!

Best Regards from Around the World,
    Chris

You have bigger cahounas (sp) than I do. I'm just a I guess. How long have you been over there.
Hmm what is decent? Are we talking about your decent or my decent? I'm just curious because I don't want to offend anyone else's decent...

Since about August. It's crazy to leave the 50 square miles that I have been working in since then.

You see any camel spiders? A friend of mine was in the initial invasion in '03, and had some horror stories.

I saw a couple towards the end of last summer. I don't think it's warmed up enough yet for them to come back out in force.

We've only seen them in the hangars. If we stayed in tents I'm sure we would see more vermin.

Camel spiders LOOK scary, but I don't think they are actually that dangerous.
