    Yea his obit was in Tues. Dallas Morning News. Died at age 41 from the retinal cancer that took his sight. Seemed unexpected too.

    Sad... he was a special guy with incredible talent. I saw him live in 1994, knowing nothing about him other than "the guy from Roadhouse". I have seen lots of bands without knowing their material before the show, and none have compared to the experience of seeing the Jeff Healy Band. I went down and bought every CD of his that I could get my hands on the next day. Later that year, my wife and I danced to Angeleyes at our Wedding Reception.

    RIP Jeff.
