Haven't been on for a while but want to get the car ready for the TDR event.
Here's the offer: You come over to my house and instruct, help, show (pick one) me how to do a 60K fluid change and put in some stainless steel brake lines and we can cook some burgers on the the new Weber and sit on the patio and drink beer while listening to the coyotes howl and watching the donkeys hump each other. It's cheap entertainment and good for a few laughs. I have a 2003 Miata and will need to know what to buy before hand.
I already have the oil and filter, a decent floor jack and stands. Let me know.
For those that don't know where I moved it's between Celina and Gunter out in the country. If anyone else want to come out and do some maintenance the offer stands as well.

I'd be there but am tied up with a party at one of my arcade buddy's house.
We'll be drinking, chatting, playing games, and eating like pigs.

My thanks to BR for the offer. Iffin you can spare a few hours that would be appreciated. Anyone else is still more than welcome to come. I have a 3 car garage and a 200 foot driveway.

You're pretty close to Woodbine, compared to most of these
I will be at the SCCA Rally Saturday or I would be there to help.
On the track, I am fearless.
If you were as slow as me, you wouldn't be afraid either.

If you mean to do the timing and other 60K stuff then I will definitely help because I need to do my timing belt too. So put me down for a definite if it includes the belt but unlikely if your just doing fluids. Also if you were planning on doing the timing belt I know a place to get everything you need for a timing belt including the waterpump for $120 ground shipped, probably wouldn't make it by saturday though.

No worries....If someone can still come out that would be fine. If not I will post again for the following Saturday.
Juano....pm me the info. It's just fluids and the steel brakelines this time but tb is due as the car has 69K.

They have really cheap waterpump, tensioner, and idler pulleys, and everything else you need. just put in your car and then you can either look up parts manually or they have kits in a drop down menu that show what parts you need for what job. Everything that I'm getting for me timing belt change should come to about $120 with free ground shipping.
You may as well do the TB at the same time if you wanna wait till next weekend then I could order those parts and have them in time for next weekend and we could do both of our TBs, hopefully.

Just make sure you know what you are getting. There's a reason for the phrase, "You get what you paid for." I can't remember what I paid for my water pump a few yrs ago but it was not that much for a new one, not a remanufactured. I think maybe $50, which is worth it for the insurance that it is quality and will last. Both personally and at work, I've seen cheapo parts or remans be defective...the worst part is ya can't tell till ya have the damn thing put together and go on the test drive!
Man Tim, looks like ya picked a bad Saturday! I'd love to come help to, but I'll be at work all day til 7pm and would be at Eagle's Canyon if not for work! FYI, I'm gonna start stripping a parts car next Sunday in Garland/Mesquite so I can drop the engine/tranny into my Spec car...

Well the water pump and other important parts aren't suspiciously cheap from that website, the things that you save the most money on is the tensioner and idler pulleys which I don't worry about the quality of too much because they are kinda hard to fuck up. I appreciate the advice though.
