You talking about the one at Brown trail and Bedford road?
If so......I don't remember it burning down. May have, I just don't remember that.


How about Leonard's Department Store in the NE mall.
Me and my sisters laughed at the stupid name of "Dillard's" when they took over Leonard's.

Been a LOT of years since I've seen a Piggly Wiggly around.




Any of you who are REAL familiar with the Hurst and Bedford area (and are a bit on the older side) remember when..................

We had the little strip center (on Pipeline) next to Morrisdale estates. It had a Stop and Go, meat market and laundromat (don't remember exactly what else was there). The closest thing to that was the Belair Shopping Center to the West. Nothing but a big field between them.



Oops........remembering back on it.........Safeway was next to the shoping center.


Haven't seen a Safeway in a while.


Spent much of my time as a youth picking out which model I wanted next from M.E. Moses.

The last piggly wiggly in Texas went out of business a few months ago. It was in Sherman.

Tom Thumb is owned by Safeway now.
