I have an '02 and have never had to remove the skid plate to change the oil..... Are you sure they remembered to put oil back it the thing??
Hello everyone!
I have an 01 stock with 62k miles.. barely driven and babied. After taking my car in for its first shop oil change, the check engine light is on showing a code of P1518, Variable Tumble Control Solenoid stuck open. Does anyone know what this is? It sounds like something to do with the VVT. When I ask Google, I get a bunch of stuff about replacing a boost sensor, but I am all stock, no FI.

PS There was a snafu with the oil change. The place doing the work removed, and forgot to replace, most of the bolts holding the skid plate to the bottom of my car. I don't think this is related but I feel I should mention it just in case.

The boost sensor is not just for FI.

After that, I made sure that there was oil in it, that the plug was in, that the filter was there, that the oil cap was on, that the dipstick was in, and that it wasn't full of jello puddin cups.
UPDATE: I found a disconnected hose! The CEL is still on.. I'm going to wait a couple days to see if it clears itself. I did try pulling a 30-A fuse (IBTD1?) to see if that'd clear it, but I don't think it did anything. I havent pulled the battery yet.
