My name is Jerrett. I am an AJ-aholic. My last trip to AJ was in August 2009.
I have the three-year deal, too. I also planned to go see AJ very soon. Sigh.

I just recently bought a 1-year deal because of AJ as well. Getting my money back wouldn't be worth the hassle (what's the difference between a 1-year and a single slignment, thirty bucks?), but I'd really rather have AJ work on my car than anyone else.
Perhaps Garage AJ needs an alignment rack?![]()

I'm having Deja Vu. Didn't we go through before when he "left" the Lewisville store. I remember several of us calling and telling our experience with AJ and his work.
It's obvious they don't know a good thing when they've got one. Sorry Aj. Just keep taking at least one class at a time if you have to.

Our [this board] alignments are actually $160 [each time] specialty alignments due to custom specs. Normal alignments usually consist of technicians saying, "oh its in the green" or " it wont pull" or even, the ever so popular, "set toe and let it go!" I tell you guys to buy the regular alignments and ill physically do the custom spec alignments. Thus saving us alot of money. I also like lunch money! [look at me Im skinny!] A one time alignment is about $70-80. There is a loophole called a "hondatech" account we made a while back that automatically has a set discount. Using this acount also bumps the one time alignments down to about $50. The one year package is just that, ($109.99) a whole years worth of alignments, within reason. all those times you come in within the year, you will not have to pay for the alignment unless labor is involved and even then youre only paying for the labor- not the alignment... Lets say you get a one year alignment and get 4 alignments done total, you paid $110 plus tax. youre getting (160x4) $640 worth of work with a savings of 530. wow, I never even looked at it that way before lol.
I really would like to align your cars as long as I can slip in the shop and do the work. Lemme know when Im needed and we can work something out.
Maybe we should storm the NTB with torches and pitchforks?

I use a guy at the Firestone at Park and Ohio in Plano (one guy, Robert, anyone else can suck it). They have a lifetime deal for $150 ($130 on sale). Robert's been doing it a long time and will put it to whatever spec you want. He lets me get in my car and I'm in the shop with him while he's doing it. Not a drive in machine, but the Evo gets up there ok with boards.
He appreciates a $20 when he goes out of his way as well since he, like AJ has gotten some crap for doing right by the customer.
We really need to talk someone like Trackdog into investing in a decent alignment rack. A guy like AJ could actually make a good living if he was allowed to bring his clientele to a location on his own schedule, and the shop that has him is guaranteed to get new customers for other stuff.
AJ, I'll be in touch to work-out a time for you to fit me in. I've just installed the coilovers, so I'm screwed without you.
Jeff, let us know how the refund works out. I too have a 3 year with 2.5 years left on it, and I'm an AJ-only customer.

On a serious note, how about everyone on the boards who uses AJ shows-up in the parking lot one saturday? Maybe after Cars and Coffee? Imagine the impact on management if they saw all those performance cars with pricey tires at the same time, then being told that most will not bring their business back without AJ?

No way an indy shop make a living off of alignments on a all-you-can eat plan. They would need to change full price per alignment.
M3 is always the answer.
yup ask Cobb or PTP how much they charge per alignment. They are good, but not cheap.
I'd be down for a post C&C "Free AJ!" rally. Anyone else?

Dang I was looking to get aligned soon too. I was in an accident a couple of weeks ago and I'm sure the car could use a little AJ alignement majic.

Sorry to hear the bad news, AJ. I can ask the guys at 5th gear if they need a tech on your behalf.
