You can double-check, but I'm pretty sure you gotta bring a Miata to get on the track. But maybe some strategically placed Mazda badges and some slick talking would convince the powers that be that "your friend" has a super-rare Mazdaspeed ND prototype?

Yep Miatas at Halett is Miatas only. Not Miata owner's only.

An exception made was a LoCost running a Miata power train.

Anyone attending that plans to drive a truck. I am looking for a ride for a set of tires.
Also would like to know how the Friday track event works. I plan to drive up Friday morning from Keller.

The track opens at 11(?) and closes about 5. Basically just show up and be ready to play. Open lapping sessions, no run groups, no time limits. Drive till you puke.

Friday used to be open to Int2 and Advanced only and you were signed up for Saturday too. Now I don't know what the rules are.

I am planning to trailer my car up this year. I'm driving up early Friday for the Friday session and driving back on Sunday. I should have plenty of room for your tires.

Me too. Just got back from TWS and pretty sure I toasted the motor in the heat, and possibly the transmission as well. I hear there is this thing called "mechanical empathy"? Gotta look into that lol...

Added the Friday session. I hear two days at Hallet is three times better than one.

I would love to do the Friday's session as well, but I never ran Hallett before. I do not think they will grant me the exception to run Friday's will they?

It's such a long drive, would love to get as much track time as possible......

    5 weeks to go!

Apex send them your track experience maybe they'll say ok.

Anyone else on our forum who has been thinking about doing a track event for the very first time, this is a great venue to get your Miata on a track and not feel overwhelmed or out gunned by OTM's (other than miatas). Great instructors and casual atmosphere. Feels like summer camp with a zoom zoom!

This is my first experience at Hallet but as Nails said, they have my track experience. I really don't see it as a problem for you.

Actually sounds like a good plan and have been wanting to put some sticky tires on it and see what times I could get. Gotta figure a way to get both cars there. That would be fun for sure...hmmm.

Agreed on all counts. MaH was my first taste of track and the experience and atmosphere could not have been better. Even cone-cerned is coming back this year for seconds!
