That really would'nt be hard to make. get a sheet of 5/16" thick plexiglass and a heat gun. Lay it on top of a hart top and start forming.
Looks neat, though.
I saw this the other day and had to do a double take. Its fully see through and seems to be made of some sort of plastic. Pretty cool. Like driving a bubble.

You know, you could be right. It looks a bit bigger than the hard top on my car and it was super clear, I mean the image was a bit distorted when looking through it.

I really like that. Where did you see it? Any chance of leaving a card to try and contact the owner?

Seems like it would crack too easy with the amount of flex.
M3 is always the answer.
Holds up okay on airplanes for windshields. I know polycarbonite (Lexan) is stronger than plexiglass, but plexiglass forms easily with applied heat. Also Lexan will start to craze after setting in sunlight for several years. For this reason, most small airplanes use the plexiglass windshields.

I like it. I hate driving with the top up... crappy visibility...

.... no Miata
I think it's a pretty cool idea -- if not for everyone's taste -- and I guess I don't understand all the haters.
OK, there are many folks on this forum who are die-hard “Convertibleist” (like my new word?) and will drive top down in any weather. But there are many other Miata owners who like their hardtop in mid-summer and/or the dead of winter. To that second group of owners, this top could be useful and fun. Kind of a top down view and "feel", but dry in the rain, even at stop lights. Or maybe toasty warm when it's 20degrees outside. OK, so in the summer it might get hot -- well, how is that any different than driving top down in the summer? You still have to (1) where a hat if you are... ah,er,um… "folicly challenged" like me, and (2) have the air-conditioning on to provide a least some cooling to your feet.
I’ll grant you it’s not for everyone, but I’d guess that folks who like their hardtops, might find this one… interesting. Of course, I have no idea how much it costs, so that could definitely limit its appeal.
One last thing: Did anyone notice the eMail address on that site? Blah, blah, blah “Mark52”… that isn’t our Mark52, is it?
