I think NAPA carries RP too.

The NAPAs that were always by me had to order it, but I'm more of a "hey, I'll change the oil in an hour" kind of guy, so that never works. Figured since I've never been in an O'Reilly's till I moved out here they'd be the ticket.

Thanks, guys! I will now make sure to look for that again.

Okay, now that several brands have been tossed around. What viscosity and why? Just daily driving type of situation.

And from what I know, Rotella used to be a supped up Dino 3 oil, not a true synthetic. But that was years ago.

EDIT: Never mind, the T6 is a true synthetic. Know I'm curious too.
Rotella synth is a group 3, if you care about that sort of thing...which I don't. Because here is an example of a $45/g Group-5 vs. tried and true Rotella synth Group-3.

I get a kick out of the AMSoil 10w40 "High Zinc" oil containing less zinc than $20 Rotella Wal-Mart oil.
Both Rotella samples saw 280*f sustained oil temps, the Amsoil only saw 220*f (new oil cooler ducting). Both samples saw 3-track days/7-hours of track time and a road trip on both sides of the track action oil and I run the car at 11.5:1 at WOT. I'm no engineer, I've only gathered UOA data on the internet and done a few of my own. I run Rotella because it holds viscosity with some fuel in it, huge amounts of zinc, molly, and phos, and it's cheap.

5w40 on the track, 10w30 on the street. I refuse to believe that Mazda intended us to run 275*f oil temps on 5w20 oil at the track; I run 10w30 Rotella blend in the daily because it's cheap and the lifters are quiet, no real science behind that for my street car.

I stopped at the Napa on Grapevine Hwy or Blvd 26 if you want to get fancy, to pick up some Napa Gold filters. They had some RP stuff but i didnt look real hard to see what all they had.

When I went through my RP phase, Pep Boys always had it in stock. I'm sure it's good stuff, but I decided it was overpriced at $9/qt... and it didn't really make much difference in my lifter noise (when I still had the stock head on the motor).

My Jeep mechanic sells RP. I buy it in bulk through him cheaper then the autopart stores. He can order me anything I want from them.

10w30 dyno blind for 7500 and a wic 51356 filter (bigger then the oem and better then all others) steet
5w40 synth for 3 track days and same wic filter

Is that the Millenia filter? I'm getting ready to buy another batch of filters and I want to get the longer ones...

Just switched to the T6, the gallon jug was $19.50 at my local Wal Mart but the individual quarts are $6.15 YIKES. Used another Napa Gold filter again. My pressure has raised significantly compared to the Mobil 1 10W-30 and lifters sound a lot quieter.

Seems to be great so far. The guys over on the sticky board seem to love this stuff.
