I agree. That car is as much fun to watch as Strelnieks' RX7.

What are your terms of use and where are they posted?
    M3 is always the answer.

Just because photos are posted on the internet doesn't give people the right to download/copy the images. Just as I don't have permission to walk into your paddock area & take something such as a tire gauge. Or walk into your house & take a TV.

Photos are the intellectual property of the person that created them.

Either way, I've placed a legal notice on the page for the Ken's of the world.

It's not just Ken, when you post publicly on the Internet, you have to identify protected content. It's not assumed. Kinda like the "expectation of privacy" when holding a conversation in public. The disclaimer is a good idea. An even better idea is to overlay "automax" on your photos before uploading. Really good shots this time, btw.

If my purpose was to only sell the photos, I would certainly do the overlay watermark as I did for the 2010 Nationals gallery.

But if people continue to take the photos without permission, I'll start using the watermark over the images again.

I think the key is to be explicit about your sharing policy on your site. Most people assume that pictures posted on the web are fair game unless otherwise stated, even though that's not accurate.

Then you get into the issues of who has given you a release to use their likeness in your photos, etc.

Thanks for posting the pics Autoxmax!

Really cool to see how soft the side walls are on the RS-3's, and I have 40psi in the rear tires.

Yeah, I did notice that my front wheels are pushing over the sidewall in a couple shots. Didn't realize they did that at TMS.

Actually you release your likeness for promotional uses when you enter an SCCA event.

My main point was that folks have no regard for the photos that they save & download off of my smugmug pages. Terry Fair has noticed the same issue on his account.

I'm not asking for money. Just would be nice if folks asked for permission of use.

Dennis had similar issues. The way he got around it was to put low res images on the internet and then if someone wanted a high res one he would charge for it. The 10 or so per year that bought photos paid for his domain name and some other expenses.
